Jeans or Faux Leather Pants?

Sometimes all a girl really wants is to rise and shine. In cold weather we layer our clothes, what you won’t see in Z’s outfit picks are the clothes she wears underneath. It’s either stockings or leggings, a tank top and/or a thermal set depending on how cold the temp outside is. She can always take off her sweater if it ever does get too warm in school but that hasn’t happened.

Since she hadn’t chose the faux leather pants yesterday, I laid them out again today. She went with jeans again.

Jeans

The light wash jeans really compliment the brown crop hoodie as the thread in the seams are also the same color brown.

Faux Leather

One thing that I really like about the faux leather pants is that they match with her more dramatic apparel. The hot pink sweater is thin so I paired it with a cream color sweater to be worn together. That combo to me is complete with a black leather belt and a pair of black leather boots. Footwear can be a rider boot or a bootie but must cover the ankles.

Inspiration

Much of my daughter’s fashion inspiration is influenced by Raven Simone’s Disney character on That’s So Raven. Yes, my child knows the early 2000s shows, her mom is a Millennial. ☺️ She also gets inspired from her fashion model friends on social media. Did I mention my daughter modeled for fashion designers for New York Fashion Week last year?

I’ll cover more about this experience. If you’re reading this, let me know if you think your child might be interested in runway modeling and I’ll get together a blog post about the steps.

Today’s a snow day but yesterday, she went to school dressed in the outfit in the first photo: Limited Two Jeans with a boot cut and a slit, a long sleeve two toned shirt and a sweater I can’t remember and a pink, warm and fuzzy coat with her hair styled straight with a few loose curls.

How did you dress your kid?
